Why many luxury brands sell below their level online
The brand stops at the homepage
Campaign imagery and the brand story sit at the top, while product pages look like any stock template. By the time customers reach the cart, the brand feels generic. If you charge for craft and detail, every page has to show it.
Beautiful images, slow pages
Large photos, video and animation make many stores sluggish, especially on phones. Your imagery should impress, not keep people waiting. Without clean engineering, every extra second costs attention and trust.
Global ambition, local setup
Many brands sell across Europe and beyond, yet the store only knows one language and one currency. Shipping, taxes and content per market turn into manual work. That slows down every expansion.
Luxury and lifestyle brands we have brought online
For designer Michael Aram, we translated the story of his craft into a Magento store where every piece takes centre stage. For THE FORME, we built a fully custom fashion e-commerce experience, and for DAQUARO we turned a barber shop into an international lifestyle brand.

What a strong luxury and lifestyle brand website needs
Brand storytelling
Origin, craft and values as dedicated story spaces, linked to the right products. Customers buy the object and the story behind it.
Product pages that sell
Large images, close-ups and subtle video show the product, while material and delivery details answer the last questions. The add-to-bag button always stays in view.
Higher order value
Matching pieces, sets and collections on product and cart pages lift the value of every order. Repeat customers are brought back with targeted drops.
Premium checkout
A calm, short checkout with common payment methods, gift options and clear delivery details. Fewer drop-offs, more completed orders.
International stores
Multiple languages, currencies and country content in one system. New markets launch without a second store.
Campaign landing pages
Dedicated pages for collections, drops and collaborations, matched to your ads on Instagram, Meta and Google. With tracking that shows which campaign drives revenue.
In luxury, fashion and lifestyle, people never buy just a product. They buy origin, material, design and the feeling a brand creates. Luxury brand website design has to carry that feeling online without slowing down the sale. That is the real job: atmosphere and conversion at the same level. This guide covers what matters for storytelling, imagery, checkout, international stores and campaigns, using examples from our work for Michael Aram, THE FORME and DAQUARO. By the end, you will know which questions to settle before a relaunch.
01Luxury brand website design starts with storytelling
A luxury brand's story does not belong on a single About page. It should run through the homepage, collections and product pages. That was exactly the brief for Michael Aram: the designer works from his own studio in India, and his craftsmanship needed to come through in the shopping experience. We linked the brand story directly to the pieces and designed product detail pages so clean that the artwork itself is the focal point.
For your brand, we start by defining which stories actually move your customers to buy: origin, material, making, the designer. Every story ends at the matching products and a clear next step into the bag. That way, inspiration turns into an order, not just a visit.
02Luxury e-commerce website: product imagery and motion
On a luxury e-commerce website, imagery replaces the conversation in the boutique. Customers want to see surfaces, proportions and details before they order. So we plan image formats, close-ups and short video clips from day one instead of squeezing them into a template later. Motion is used with intent: a campaign film at the top, soft transitions between views, subtle hover effects. Anything that only decorates and tells nothing gets cut.
Order matters too: product first, then information. Material, dimensions, care and delivery time sit clearly beneath the images, not hidden in tabs. Customers find everything they need to decide without leaving the visual experience.
03Fashion brand web design that makes quality tangible
Fashion lives on style, fit and curation. For THE FORME, we developed a complete digital strategy defining the architecture, user experience and interactions across the entire customer journey. The goal was to make the brand's quality tangible and the purchase effortless. The store was designed mobile first from the start. For fashion labels, that means filters, size guidance and looks must work as elegantly on a phone as on a desktop.
04Premium e-commerce: a checkout worthy of the brand
Many premium stores lose their impact exactly where the money changes hands. The checkout switches to a generic design, asks for unnecessary fields and feels rushed. We design checkout to be calm and short: few steps, common payment methods, clear information on delivery, returns and packaging. Gift wrapping or a personal note are often part of a luxury purchase. Typography, colour and imagery stay consistent through to the confirmation. How we set up stores and connect them to inventory and payment providers is covered in detail on our e-commerce service page.
05Building an international lifestyle brand website that stays fast
DAQUARO shows how a local barber shop becomes an international lifestyle brand. Built on WooCommerce, we created a custom shopping experience that embodies the brand's lifestyle. For Michael Aram, planning the expansion into Europe was also part of the brief. International stores need language versions, currencies, country-specific content and a structure search engines understand cleanly for each market.
At the same time, the site has to load fast despite large images and video. We serve media in the right sizes and modern formats, load video only when needed and keep the code lean. The imagery stays rich and the pages stay quick.
06Campaign landing pages for collections and drops
New collections, limited editions and collaborations need their own stage. A campaign landing page picks up the look of the ad, tells the idea behind the collection and leads straight to the right products. For Michael Aram, social media and ads were part of the brief to grow brand awareness. We set up GA4 and conversion tracking for Google Ads and Meta, so you see which channel and which page bring orders and revenue. After launch, we keep optimising based on that data.
How we build your luxury brand website
- 01
Brand & goals
We clarify positioning, target markets, range and your current store technology. This becomes a structure that connects story and sales.
- 02
Design & imagery
We design homepage, collections, product pages and checkout in your brand world. Image formats, video and motion are planned in from the start.
- 03
Store & engineering
We build the store, connect payment, shipping and inventory, and set up languages and currencies. Load times and mobile display are tested on every device.
- 04
Growth after launch
We measure which channels, pages and products drive revenue and optimise for more orders. Collections and drops are supported with landing pages and ads.
Frequently asked questions: luxury brand website design
It depends on scope, store features and the number of markets. A single page starts in the low four figures, an international online store is above that. After the first call you receive a fixed-price quote.
We decide based on your range, markets and existing systems. For Michael Aram we worked with Magento, for DAQUARO with WooCommerce. What matters is that design, storytelling and checkout remain fully customisable.
Yes, if the engineering is right. We serve images in the right sizes and modern formats and load video only when it is needed. Your imagery stays rich without dragging down load times.
Yes. We migrate products and content, redirect old URLs cleanly and preserve your existing Google rankings. The relaunch happens without losing visibility.
Yes. Languages, currencies and country-specific content are set up in one system. New markets can be added later without building a second store.
We set up GA4 and conversion tracking for Google Ads and Meta. You see which channel, campaign and page lead to orders. Based on that, we keep optimising pages and budgets.
